Tibenham Run report
Chennai’s finest lines up with vintage examples of other marques |
Once again, inclement weather was no bar to the massed ranks of the RERCN as we headed to Tibenham Aerodrome to spectate the VMCC’s annual Shakedown event. Yes, it was cold and yes, threatening rain, but the mighty members made it to the erstwhile home of the USAAF 445th Bombardment Group and while there, met a potential new recruit keen to join the fun. All in all, a highly successful outing!
(Okay, three of us went to Tibenham and it was bl**dy freezing but we did have fun, there were some fine vintage bikes to see and we did meet a new recruit, so an – ahem – moderate success.)
Many thanks to the members who turned out and here’s to the next run…

Easter Monday Tibenham ride arrangements
Quick update detailing the arrangements for Easter Monday’s Tibenham ride:
Very simple, arrive at Tibenham aerodrome around 10.30am. Tibenham is at NR16 1NT, about 15 miles south of Norwich.
Anyone who’d like some companionship for the ride can meet at Waitrose car park, Eaton NR4 6NU at say, 9.50am. I’ll be riding from there on a gentle cross-county route to the airfield.
Lodge your intention here or at Hitchcock’s forum if you'd like to meet, otherwise, see you at Tibenham!

First meeting a success!
The first meeting of the Royal Enfield Riders Club Norfolk was a great success. Potential members arrived from across the county to get to know each other, talk Enfields, discuss future rides-out and decide a likely format for the new club and how it should be organised and run. All present were broadly in agreement on all points and it seems the success of the new club is assured.
Now we must do two things: attract more members and (first and foremost) have fun!
There'll be updates here as and when and you can contact the club here (in the Comments box below), at our Facebook page or via the Hitchcock's forum.
And now it only remains to say thanks to everyone who attended, to extend a warm welcome to anyone who makes contact and to apologise for a lack of pictures -- I was having such a nice chat I forgot to take any!
